Sainsbury Engineering Management Fellows Scholarships

EIBF annually awards MBA scholarships of £50,000 to promising engineers who are looking to take their business skills to the next level. 

Since 1987, more than 400 engineers have been given the opportunity to study for an MBA at the world’s leading business schools – could you be next?

EIBF works in partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering to deliver this scholarship. 

Eligibility

Successful candidates must:

  • Have a first degree in an engineering or allied technology discipline – preferably a first or upper second class
  • Have taken a GMAT exam, with a target score of 650+
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to both UK industry and their respective engineering or science communities
  • Be a UK national, currently living in the United Kingdom
  • Have between four to ten years professional experience post first degree
  • Candidates do not need to have a professional institution qualification such as Chartered Engineer or Chartered Scientist (or equivalent), however this qualification or progress towards it will be viewed favourably.

The Sainsbury Engineering Management Fellows Scholarship award is £50,000 for a full-time MBA course at the following business schools:

It is not necessary to have secured a place at business school before applying for this scholarship. Successful applicants without a confirmed place at an approved business school will be given a scholarship ‘offer in principle’, which must be taken up within 12 months, otherwise the offer expires.

The scholarship does not support the study of part-time, distance learning or executive MBA courses.
