Give back to the scheme that supported you

SMF Step Challenge

The SMF Step Challenge is EIBF’s annual fundraising campaign to progress towards funding all scholarships directly.

Each March, during Giving Week, the charity encourages all SMFs to give back to the scheme that helped them get to where they are today.

Over the years, you have told us how important your SMF scholarship was to your step up to a new career. Your time at business school gave you new tools and connections to enable you to make an impact on business and society.

It also gave you access to the SMF network and community, which continues to grow and benefit you.

Now we invite you to help another young engineer step on to the path to success and make their mark on society.

EIBF asks all SMFs to contribute to the scholarships to be awarded in 2025/2026.

How to donate in the UK

Please contact Cathy Breeze on 01590 673 404 or email [email protected]. When making a donation, please use the donation form and Gift Aid form which enables EIBF to receive 25% extra if you are a UK taxpayer.

Gift Aid Group

The Gift Aid scheme means that, if you are a UK tax payer, for every £1 you donate to EIBF, the charity claims an extra 25p – at no cost to you.

To enable EIBF to reclaim the tax on all donations in the last four years, and any future donations you make, please confirm that you agree with the following statement:

I want to Gift Aid this donation and any donations I make in the future or have made in the past four years to EIBF. I am a UK tax payer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference.

Gift Aid Check

Without it costing a single penny more, saying 'yes' to Gift Aid means we receive an additional for your donation from HM Revenue and Customs.

You must notify us if you want to cancel this declaration, change your name or home address, or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains.

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.

Thank you for donating to Engineers in Business Fellowship

I understand that I must pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax the charity reclaims on my gift/s in the appropriate tax year. I am under no obligation to make any further donations and I can cancel this declaration at any time. Please notify EIBF if your circumstances change.

For those living in the United Kingdom, Eurozone, Denmark, Australia and New Zealand, please make a donation selection from the options below.

Direct Debit Payment

Donating regularly to EIBF requires you to set up a Direct Debit to process your contributions. Find out more about Direct Debits.

Legacy

A legacy donation would come from an estate free from inheritance tax. An amendment to a Will would be required to contribute this in this way.

If you plan to leave a legacy to EIBF, please complete this Living Legacy Pledge form. This will enable EIBF to claim the matching grant currently available, and to recognise your gift appropriately.

From capital

This enables income and capital gains tax relief. For entrepreneurs, the gifting of shares, or even the beneficial interest while retaining legal title and voting rights in shareholdings, can mean that the proceeds on a sale are passed to the SMF scheme with no income or capital gains taxes due by the donor or the EIBF charity.

To discuss this, please contact Cathy Breeze on 01590 673404 or email [email protected]

Corporate

EIBF welcomes donations and collaborative partnerships with organisations, trusts and foundations. To discuss this, please contact Cathy Breeze on 01590 673404 or email [email protected]
