Bright Ideas is Kingston University’s annual entrepreneurial competition, open to all students across the university. It is a major initiative designed to encourage students to develop key innovation and enterprise skills. It encourages students to be problem solvers and confident presenters, addressing problems that come from their academic and everyday experiences. During the Bright Ideas Sprints, 153 students were coached on developing value propositions and pitching. At the Bright Ideas Final in February 2022, 130 students pitched their ideas to panels of distinguished judges, with 48 students coming from Science, Engineering and Computing and therefore qualifying for Engineers in Business prizes. EIB Awards are made in two Engineering Groups – Engineering 1 and Engineering 2.
The EIB support has been fantastic for our students! The opportunity to meet, pitch to, and get feedback from experienced professionals provides them with new insights for their enterprise journey. The opportunity to compete for cash prizes has made it even more meaningful. Thank you Engineers in Business!
